Proportional control valves can be divided into three types: pressure control valves, flow control and directional control valves.

Pressure control valve: The manual adjustment device that replaces the pilot type relief valve with a proportional solenoid valve becomes a guided proportional relief valve whose hydraulic pressure is continuously or proportionally controlled by the input signal.

Flow control valve: replace the throttle valve or the speed control valve manual adjustment device with a proportional solenoid valve and control the throttle opening of the throttle valve or the speed control valve with the input signal, and control the output flow rate continuously or proportionally. Therefore, the opening of the orifice can be determined by the voltage of the input signal.

Directional control valve: The general solenoid valve of the proportional solenoid valve instead of the directional valve constitutes a direct-acting proportional directional valve. The sliding shaft can be changed not only, but also the stroke of the transposition can be changed continuously or proportionally, so the communication between the ports is connected. The oil area can also be changed continuously or proportionally, so the proportional directional control valve not only controls the direction of movement of the actuator but also controls its speed.

The hydraulic components that are driven by the above various proportional valves are hydraulic cylinders or hydraulic motors.
