Qingtian County: High-quality pyrophyllite reserves can be mined for 30 years

It is reported that Qingtian County has completed five major minerals in two mining areas, namely, Shipingchuan Molybdenum Mine and Shankou Pyrophyllite Mine, after nearly two years of field data survey and internal industry data collation by Zhejiang Provincial Geological Survey and Provincial Eleventh Geological Brigade. The investigation of the current situation of mineral resources utilization found that the amount of molybdenum ore in Qingtian County was 6,641,800 tons and the amount of metal was 15,662.92 tons; the amount of lead-zinc ore was 431,700 tons, the amount of metal was 16,283 tons; the amount of fluorite ore was 267,300 tons; the amount of pyrosite ore was 1538.54. Ten thousand tons, the reserves of mineral resources are fruitful. Among them, pyrophyllite is the preferred material for Qingtian stone carving industry, and molybdenum metal is an important raw material in various industrial fields. The two ore types in the county are expected to be exploitable for 30 years and 50 years respectively, and the total economic output value is nearly 5 billion yuan.

The relevant person in charge of Qingtian County Land and Resources Bureau said that the survey provided clear data for Qingtian County to update the mineral resources reserve database, and further rationally develop and utilize mineral resources, effectively improve the scientific management level of land and resources for Qingtian County, and strengthen the economic development of land and resources.
