Total refined copper production in Russia decreased by 5.1% year-on-year According to reports from the Metal Supply and Marketing Network, statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics of the Russian Federation show that the total production of refined copper in Russia fell by 5.1% from January to November 2012. Similarly, copper production fell 0.5% year-on-year, and flat copper production fell 2.6% year-on-year. At the same time, the output of copper foil increased by 8.2% year-on-year, and the production of copper rods and copper bars increased by 2.5% year-on-year.

Previously, from January to October 2012, the output of refined copper in Russia fell by 6.5% year-on-year, copper wire production fell by 3.2% year-on-year, and flat copper production decreased by 3.5% year-on-year. However, the copper foil products in the same period increased by 5.9% year-on-year.

It is reported that from January to September 2012, the export volume of Russian crude copper and copper rods increased by 24.4% year-on-year, the export volume reached 459,000 tons, and the export revenue increased by 4.3% to 3.492 billion US dollars.
