How to deal with air compressor oil coking

In the use of air compressors, the most commonly encountered imagination is the coking of air compressor oils. The main reason for this phenomenon is that the high temperature causes the oil product to drop, which results in coking. To meet this phenomenon, we must prescribe the right medicine. Measures should be taken to prevent the air compressor from becoming hot. Specifically, the air compressor head temperature should generally be between 40 and 60 degrees Celsius at ambient temperature. Special attention should also be paid to: Air pressure The cooler of the machine should not be blocked. Once it is blocked, it will affect the amount of air flow, and the air compressor will not be able to cool down properly.

When dealing with over-temperature shut-down of air compressors, we often just clean the cooler and change the oil two main operations. This method can be very effective for new machines. However, for old machines more than two years old, it can only be said that "a temporary solution is not a permanent solution." The reason is that the phenomenon of over-temperature shutdown has repeatedly occurred just after the cleaning process. In the past, we always suspected that the chiller was not cleaned thoroughly in this case. But is the real reason for this? In actual fact, the incomplete cleaning of the cooler is only one reason; the oil circuit system of the machine is unexpectedly there is a huge hidden danger of overheating. Most of today's air compressors use mineral oil or semi-synthetic oils based on mineral oil. Their service life is generally between 2000-4000 hours. This type of oil will generally be coked for about two years. At the same time, even a normal oil change will have this kind of phenomenon, because every time we change the oil, it is impossible to discharge 100% of the oil, and the remaining oil deposits at the low point of the oil tank at the bottom of the gear box and follows the new oil. Participate in a new round of oil circuit circulation, when running for a certain period of time will cause oil deterioration, resulting in coking phenomenon. At this time, the green or blue liquid will be discharged at the discharge port of the air compressor. When oil is changed, oily viscosity will frequently occur, and asphalt-like hard blocks will be discharged. If you continue to operate, there will be difficulties in the cold start of the air compressor, and the motor will often be overloaded; even in the worst case, the host will not be able to turn, resulting in the phenomenon of “false lock”.
In dealing with this kind of anomaly, the host is usually disassembled. Soak in a special cleaning agent, and then soak the oil tank, cooler and main oil circuit components. Not only is the process complex and time consuming, but all the seals of the machine must be replaced after soaking. Therefore, it is very expensive to conduct a cleaning. But now dealing with this situation does not have to be so tedious, just use the oil coking special test agent to test the oil sample, if you determine the coking of the oil product, you only need to add one tenth of the lubricating oil to the oil. "Wanabe" (transliteration) cleaning agent, start running 40-60 hours, the lubricant will be let go. The inside of the machine will be thoroughly cleaned, and then the new oil will be added to operate normally. The second method saves time, effort, and cost, and the Varner sweeper does not react chemically with the oil. It only dilutes the coke so that it does not cause any corrosion to the metal and non-metal parts of the machine. From an environmental point of view, the "Wana sweeper" has no irritating effect on the operator's skin and can even directly touch the skin.
