Transportation inspection:

1, high altitude simulation

Purpose: Simulate air transport in low pressure environments

Inspection procedure: At ambient temperature, the battery to be tested shall be placed at least 6H at a pressure not greater than 11.6 KPA.

Requirements: The battery should have no quality loss, no leakage, no release, no short circuit, no crack, no explosion, no fire during the test.

Equipment used: GX-3020 battery low air pressure testing machine

2, thermal shock

Objective: To evaluate the overall sealing performance of the battery and the internal electrical connection by means of temperature cycling.

Inspection procedure: The battery to be tested should be placed at least 6H in a test environment of 75 °C. The conversion time between different temperatures should not exceed 30 minutes. After every 10 cycles of the tested battery, store at least 24H at ambient temperature.

For large batteries, the storage time should be 12H instead of 6h at each inspection temperature.

This test is performed using a battery that has been tested at a high altitude.

Requirements: During the inspection, the battery should have no quality loss, no leakage, no release, no short circuit, no crack, no explosion, no fire.

3, vibration

Purpose: To simulate the vibration of a civil aircraft during transportation.

Inspection procedure: Fix the battery on the vibration platform. Sinusoidal vibration is applied to the battery under test. 12 cycles were performed for each azimuth in three mutually perpendicularly fixed orientations, each azimuth cycle time totaling 3H. One of the orientations should be perpendicular to the extreme faces of the battery.

Requirements: The battery should have no quality loss, no leakage, no release, no short circuit, no crack, no explosion, no fire during the test.

4, external short circuit

Purpose: Simulate conditions that cause an external short circuit

Detection step: after the temperature of the shell of the tested battery is stabilized at 55 ° C, the battery is externally short-circuited at this temperature, the total resistance of the external circuit should be less than 0.1 ohm, and the short circuit is continued until the temperature of the battery casing drops back to 55 ° C. Continue to short circuit for 1h. Continue to observe the sample to be tested for 6h. The test was carried out using a battery that has been subjected to an impact test.

Requirements: The battery should not be hot, cracked, exploded, or caught in the test and during the 6H observation period.

5, heavy impact

Purpose: Simulate internal short circuit of battery

Inspection procedure: Place the tested unit cell or unit cell on a flat plate, and place a 15.8-diameter steel bar horizontally in the center of the battery so that a 9.1 KG weight falls on the steel bar from the height of 61. .

A cylindrical or rectangular battery, when subjected to a heavy impact, should have a longitudinal axis that is parallel to the flat plate and that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the steel bar placed centrally on the battery. Rectangular batteries should be mounted 90° around their longitudinal axis to ensure that both the wide and narrow sides are subject to heavy impact. When the button battery is subjected to heavy impact, its flat surface should be parallel to the flat plate, and the steel bar should be placed across the center of the battery. Each single cell or unit cell is subjected to only one heavy object impact. The sample to be inspected should continue to be observed for 6 h after the impact of the heavy object. This test is carried out using a single battery or a unit battery that has not been subjected to other transportation inspections.

Requirements: The battery should not be hot, explosion or fire during the inspection and during the 6h observation period.
