The system consists of three key components: an onboard real-time monitoring system, a 3G network transmission system, and a central monitoring center. The onboard cameras are strategically placed on the bridge, in the cabin, and on the vehicle deck, capturing live footage of driver behavior, passenger loading, service quality, and security conditions. This ensures that every aspect of the voyage is under constant supervision.
The 3G network transmission system plays a crucial role by sending real-time data back to the monitoring center. This allows staff to keep track of vessel activity, passenger flow, and safety conditions from a central location. It also enables immediate communication with the ship, ensuring that any issues can be addressed swiftly and efficiently.
Currently, the external monitoring coverage is limited to Gaoting Port Ferry Terminal. However, the company is planning to expand the system to Sanjiang and Shushan Car Ferry Terminals. This expansion aims to provide comprehensive oversight of car and passenger traffic, enhancing safety and operational efficiency across a broader area.
