Maintaining mining machinery is a critical and ongoing task that must be closely integrated with the machine's operation and maintenance. It’s essential to have dedicated personnel on duty to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely.
1. Bearings are crucial components that support the full load of the machine, so proper lubrication is vital for their longevity. The lubricating oil used must be clean, and the seals should be intact to prevent contamination. Poor lubrication can significantly reduce the service life and efficiency of the equipment.
2. Newly installed tires are prone to loosening, so regular inspections are necessary to ensure they remain secure. Any signs of looseness should be addressed immediately to avoid potential hazards.
3. It's important to regularly check all parts of the machine to ensure they are functioning correctly. This includes monitoring for unusual noises, vibrations, or performance issues.
4. Pay close attention to the wear of key components. Worn-out parts should be replaced promptly to maintain optimal performance and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
5. The undercarriage plane of mobile equipment should be cleaned regularly to prevent the movable bearing from shifting when encountering unbreakable materials. This helps avoid serious accidents caused by misalignment.
6. If the bearing temperature rises unexpectedly, stop the machine immediately and investigate the cause. Prompt action can prevent further damage and downtime.
7. If you hear unusual impact sounds from the transmission gears during operation, stop the machine right away and inspect the issue. Do not attempt to continue running until the problem is resolved.
How to install and debug a mining vibrating screen? There are various types of vibrating screens, such as shaking screens, circular vibrating screens, resonance screens, and linear vibrating screens, each with different structures. Users should follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for proper installation, operation, and maintenance based on the specific type of screen they are using.
1. Preparation before installation: Before installing a new vibrating screen, carefully inspect the equipment. Due to long storage times, some components may develop rust or seal damage. If any issues are found, replace the affected parts. Also, if the vibration exciter was coated with anti-rust oil at the factory, it should be replaced with proper lubricating oil before use. Always read the manual thoroughly and prepare all necessary tools and materials beforehand.
2. Installation steps:
(1) Install the support or suspension system. Level the foundation first, then assemble the components according to the installation drawings. Before installing the springs, select them based on the stiffness values marked on the ends.
(2) Attach the screen box to the support or suspension structure. Adjust the inclination angle as specified. For suspended screens, adjust both the screen box tilt and the spindle level. Start by ensuring the horizontal alignment is correct, then adjust the longitudinal slope. Make sure the spring forces are evenly distributed by checking their compression levels.
(3) Install the motor and V-belt. Ensure the motor base is level, align the pulley grooves, and adjust the belt tension appropriately.
(4) Secure the screen surface as required.
(5) Check all connections, including the screen plate and vibration exciter, to ensure they are tight. The screen should be evenly tensioned to avoid localized vibrations. Verify that the transmission parts are well-lubricated, the wiring is correct, and the system moves smoothly by manually turning the parts.
(6) Inspect the feed and discharge chutes to ensure there are no obstructions or collisions during operation.
3. Testing after installation:
Once the screen is installed, perform an empty run test to verify the installation quality and make any necessary adjustments.
(1) The empty run should last at least 8 hours. During this time, observe whether the screen starts smoothly, vibrates steadily, and produces no unusual noise. Use an amplitude card to check if the vibration meets specifications.
(2) If the screen box experiences yawing during operation, check the spring height differences, hanging wire tension, shaft alignment, and belt tightness. Adjust accordingly to stabilize the motion.
(3) Within the first 4 hours of operation, the bearing temperature should gradually rise and then stabilize. The maximum temperature should not exceed 75°C, and the temperature increase should not exceed 40°C.
(4) If abnormal noises occur or the bearing temperature rises rapidly, stop the machine immediately. Check for issues like improper shaft rotation or poor lubrication, and restart only after the problem is fixed.
(5) After 2–4 hours of operation, check for loose connections. Tighten any loose parts before continuing.
(6) If no issues are found after 8 hours of testing, the installation is complete and ready for use.
