The second important step is ensuring that the wall is completely dry before applying the wallpaper. If you're working with newly constructed walls, allow at least 20 to 40 days for the cement to fully cure. Avoid using sea sand or low-quality plaster, as they can affect the adhesion of the wallpaper. If you're renovating an older home, make sure to fill any cracks or gaps in the wall before starting the installation to prevent bubbles or peeling later on.
The third step involves selecting a high-quality wallpaper and carefully aligning the patterns when applying it. Pay close attention to the seams between the strips to avoid large gaps. Also, be cautious when wetting the wall during installation, as this can cause the wallpaper to shrink once it dries. The fourth and final step is to maintain proper ventilation during and after the installation. In the first 24 hours, keep windows and doors open to allow air circulation. However, avoid excessive airflow, as it can cause the wallpaper to dry too quickly and crack. After three days, adjust the ventilation—open windows during the day for fresh air and close them at night to protect against moisture intrusion. This balance helps the wallpaper settle properly and last longer.
