The Shekou Police Station has received numerous reports of bicycle thefts in recent months. One such case involved Mr. Bao, who reported that his black electric bike was stolen from the entrance of a supermarket on South Road in Shekou Park, Nanshan District. The bike was valued at around 2,600 yuan. Following the incident, police reviewed video footage and managed to identify the suspect’s appearance and behavior. On October 14th, two suspects were arrested at a hotel in Shuiwantou and later taken for further investigation.

Police found that most thefts occur through two common methods: using heavy-duty pliers to cut weak parts of the lock or using a T-shaped tool to break the lock cylinder.
